“Lance” is a 3 year old Percheron x Quarter Horse cross gelding standing 15 hands. He is an easy going and fun all-around horse who is sturdy, well-built, and versatile! Lance was born here on our farm and we have done all of his training ourselves. He has been very fun to work with! Don’t let the 3 year old age scare you - this gelding has been there and done a little bit of everything. From trail riding to ponying colts to pushing cattle and checking fences, he’s seen it all. Lance is GENTLE, quiet, and wants to please his rider. He is well trained in the arena and does everything with a willing mind. He has nice turnarounds, moves off leg pressure, and has a good stop. He has a nice walk, trot, and lope and knows both leads. Not only is he a joy to ride in the arena, he has also done lots of outside riding! We have taken him on trail rides on all types of terrain. Whether it be creek crossings, logs, bridges, slippery banks, or steep hills, Lance handles it all with ease. He rides off alone or with a group with no problem. We have hauled him all over and given him lots of miles and exposure to all kinds of trail rides. We absolutely love this gelding’s personality! He is extremely sweet and kind while also being mannerly and respectful. He is excellent to load and unload, bathe, tie, shoe, etc. He is up to date on vaccinations and sells 100% sound.
