“Lefty” - 7 year old grade gelding - 14.3 hands 

“Lefty” has been my main mount for the past two years. He’s been used for everything from roping and dragging wild cattle into the trailer to breakaway ropings to sale barns, checking pens at the feedlot, and has even filled in for my daughter’s rodeo horse when her main one was out! I will not say that he knows much of a playday pattern, but he is broke to do anything you point him at. He has also been used to carry a flag by my 12 year old daughter in the grand entry of the 4 day long Woodward Oklahoma Elks Rodeo! If you’re looking for a trail horse, Lefty will take you through a wide open pasture or wooded areas with ease. He can get a little hesitant of water crossings at times, but will cross it. He is easy to catch, loads great in the trailer, stands quietly when tied, and will pick up all 4 feet and let you clean them out with no problem. His only flaw is that he doesn’t like the nail being driven into his foot when he is being shod, and requires sedation to have new shoes put on. He can go barefoot, I just put shoes on him for the sale barns and feedlot. This gelding has been exposed to lots of different things and doesn’t bat an eye!
