"Rooster" - 13 Year Old Grade Bay Roan Gelding - 15.1 Hands

"Rooster" is the kind of horse that is becoming harder and harder to find—a genuinely seasoned, dependable gelding with a lifetime of real-world experience and the kind of quiet, willing disposition that makes him a valuable asset to any barn.

This handsome bay roan is built to perfection, with the bone, substance, and presence you look for in a finished ranch gelding. He has been owned and used by an older gentleman his entire life and has spent his years doing the day to day work of a true ranch horse. He has seen and done all of the ranch chores and has the experience to handle whatever the day may bring.

Rooster has also been ridden in parades, used at hunting camp, and extensively trail ridden, giving him an impressive amount of exposure outside the arena. He is comfortable crossing water and logs and will confidently navigate a complete obstacle course with ease. He is unbothered by pets, wildlife, vehicles, ATVs, and the everyday distractions that can make other horses nervous.

In the arena, Rooster has proven to be an exceptional confidence builder for children, green riders, and those looking for a dependable step-up horse. He is willing, forgiving, and trustworthy, giving his rider the confidence to learn and improve while still having enough experience and ability to be enjoyable for a more seasoned rider.

Whether you are looking for a dependable ranch partner, a family trail horse, a hunting-camp mount, a parade horse, or simply a seasoned gelding you can trust, Rooster checks the boxes. His combination of lifetime ranch experience, quiet demeanor, versatility, and exceptional dependability makes him a horse you can count on day after day.

Rooster is the kind you can put anyone on, point down the trail, and know they are going to have a good experience. He’s a true gentleman with a lifetime of experience and a bright future ahead of him!
