“Vegas” is a 2021 draft cross gelding standing 16.1 hands with lots of shape and bone to him! Vegas is one of a kind. He is gentle, safe, patient, and a great horse for the whole family. When we say this horse is SAFE and FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY, we truly mean it. We have two young kids and Vegas takes care of them. Our kids love to brush and ride him, and he soaks it all in. Vegas is truly an in your pocket kind of horse. He loves attention, being groomed, getting scratches, and baths. He is the true definition of a gentle giant! He is pretty special to us, as he has been with us since he was a baby. Through our program, we strive to make sure that our horses go through a little bit of everything and become used to all sorts of different things. With that being said, Vegas has seen countless miles on the trails, checking fences, moving cattle, and ponying colts. He knows his way around cattle and isn’t afraid to go push them around or pull from the horn! From crossing logs, water, and bridges to going up and down steep hills, Vegas does it all without hesitation. He has been ridden through down, heavy traffic, and down the highway and takes it all in stride. We have hauled him to different overnight trail rides and he has lots of miles and exposure to different types of areas. Vegas is surefooted, confident, and will take care of you! He doesn’t care if he is in the front or back of the lineup, he is happy wherever his rider wants him. Vegas is also very well trained in the arena! He collects up nicely, moves off leg pressure, and pivots around well both ways. He walks out nicely, trots both ways, and lopes off in both directions. His gaits are comfortable, easy, and collected. Vegas is a horse who loves to please his rider and has a very trainable mind. You can do ranch work on him one day and then go for a relaxing trail ride the next. He is very well mannered on the ground as well, he is a respectful gentleman! Vegas is an easy keeper and requires nothing extra. He has zero health issues. He trailers great alone or with others. He loads and unloads with no issues. He stands good for the farrier and sells 100% sound!
