JR Onyx Bar is a maternal grandson of Poco Burleigh, by Poco Pine (152 AQHA Pts).  On the bottom, Frostys San Peppy is by Jans San Peppy and out of a Frosty Feature mare. Frosty Feature (SI:81, ROM holder) has produced leading barrel horses.

After purchasing Maverick, he was nervous about having his feet messed with, such as applying splint boots and cleaning his feet. He has never kicked or been threatening about it, he just pulls and tries to move away. After moving slow with him and gaining his trust, this issue has gotten substantially better. He can still be nervous about his back feet from time to time. Our vet has recommended that we have his teeth floated annually.
