Finn is an easy keeper with no special maintenance requirements. He is currently on a calming supplement which helps him stay focused, especially during periods when he isn’t being worked consistently. Like many performance horses, he can become fresh with extended time off, so he does best in a regular riding program. Finn’s main quirks stem from nervousness rather than attitude. He can be cinchy and may pull back if he feels anxious or confined around unfamiliar people or situations. However, he will stand tied quietly at the trailer for extended periods and generally settles well in a familiar environment. His biggest challenge is with the farrier. Having his front feet handled makes him nervous, and he may try to pull back. Positioning something behind him for reassurance helps, and mild sedation has made farrier visits much safer and less stressful for both Finn and the farrier.
