“Mollys Little Rush” is a 2005 AQHA gelding standing 14.3 hands. “Sid” is a gentle, been there, done that ranch horse! You can rope off him, sort cattle, put novice riders on him, or just go for a trail ride. We have drug hundreds of calves to the branding fire with him and he has made big circles in mountain country. He will cross water with no problem and go anywhere you point him. He has been to town and competed in a few ranch rodeos! Our 12 and 13 year old boys have also heeled off of him in youth team roping events. Sid is lazy and short strided making him less appealing for adults to ride on big circles, but he has definitely made his fair share of BIG circles anyway. Although on the lazy side, you can definitely wake him up and get some more speed. He will burn up cattle in the pasture to rope, and would be great in team sorting events! As you will see in his photos and videos, we have put our kids and many people who don’t ride often on this gelding after making sure he has been topped off first. When he is feeling fresh in the spring after being on some rich grass he can get a little silly. Nothing terrible, but he just needs someone with a bit more experience to hop on him first before putting the kiddos or inexperienced riders on. Sid is not the completely “bomb proof” type, but he is very gentle with a friendly personality. He is super easy to catch and shoe, and is an easy keeper with no special feed requirements.
