Wendy sells with a 2026 breeding to “Marked For Greatness” – APHA WORLD CHAMPION Tobiano Stallion, Color Me Smart × Mark Anotherspot – standing at Saw Ranch Stallion Station (farm/shipping/mare care fees apply. This is the breeding fee ONLY. The new owner will be responsible for all farm, vet, and mare care fees.). At no fault of her own, we have not tried to breed Wendy. She cycles normally.
Wendy is a proven ranch mare with a solid résumé: She has gathered cattle over thousands of acres, run the tub, sorted, doctored, and tagged calves. She is all business when it comes to a day’s work and has the heart, power, and training to get the job done.
Additional info:
• Maiden mare
• Well-bred, granddaughter of Hollywood Dun It
• Easy keeper, maintains well on pasture alone
• Good with other horses (bossy but not mean)
• We keep her barefoot
• No vices such as cribbing, weaving, or pawing
• Wendy is very much a one-person type of mare—she stays honest and has never bucked, run off, or acted dangerously, but she can be quirky or unsure if handled heavy-handed or unkind. We believe this stems from how she was first started under saddle rather than anything genetic, and we will fully disclose this history to any buyer. It will be a non-issue if she is purchased strictly as a broodmare.
For someone looking to add a well-bred maiden mare with a proven ranch record to their breeding program, Wendy could be a great fit.
Wendy is available for viewing and handling, but no rides are being offered at this time.

Wendy is an honest mare for those who can read a horse who has never bucked, run off, or acted dangerously, but she is best suited to a light, kind hand. She can be untrusting and difficult to catch until she gets to know you. We believe her quirks stem from how she was originally started, not genetics, and this will not affect her value as a broodmare. For full transparency, Wendy is being sold as broodmare sound only. She shows intermittent soreness and occasional head bobbing. While we have not pursued a full veterinary work-up, potential buyers are welcome to arrange a pre-purchase exam at their own expense. Because of this, we are not representing her as a riding or performance horse.
