2015 Draft Cross Mare “Tango”- Versatile Ranch, Sport, & Trail Mare!

“Tango” is a 2015 crossbred mare standing 16.1 hands with an outstanding pedigree and the foundation to go in any direction. She is sired by the well-known Shire stallion “Deighton Black Knight” of Tally Ho Shires (Rifle, CO) and out of a quality AQHA mare, giving her the perfect balance of strength, athleticism, and refinement.

Tango had  a later start and is excelling at being a reliable and versatile partner. She currently has hundreds of miles, including well over 60 outside rides and time in the arena. She has been used full time managing cattle in the deserts and high country of Colorado, showing her ability to handle long days and real work. She is broke to pack, hauling tons of salt in the high country over the summer. She navigates water crossings, down timber, and steep or rocky terrain with complete confidence and grace.

Beyond her saddle and pack work, Tango is a gentle, smart, and steady-minded mare with excellent ground manners. She stands quietly for the farrier, loads, ties, hobbles, and pickets, making her easy to handle in any setting. She is up to date on vaccinations, has had her teeth floated, and has been recently dewormed. She is ready to step into her next home with all her care needs up to date!
