“Barzees 314” is a 2019 black AQHA gelding standing 14.1 hands. “Miguel” is a stocky gelding who can handle any job thrown his way. We have owned him for a year and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! He has smooth and comfortable gaits and walks, trots, and lopes in the arena with ease. He rides soft in the mouth, works off leg pressure, and neck reins well. Miguel is also experienced with cattle and has ranch roped in the arena and pasture. He tracks a cow like one should and will drag one to the fire. We have sorted pairs on him, loaded trucks, and have started roping out of the box on the heel side. Miguel doesn’t need fancy footing to go to work! He is confident in the mud, snow, brush, sand, and hard dirt. He is ready to get the job done no matter what the conditions. If you’re looking for a more laid back ride, Miguel will match his rider’s skill set. We have done leadline with our toddlers on him and they are starting to ride him independently with supervision in the arena, and love riding double on him with mom! Miguel knows they are on his back and takes the absolute best care of them while staying patient as they learn to steer. His smooth gaits make riding double a blast. If trail riding is your style, he is great on the trails as well! He would also excel in the show pen competing in western and ranch horse versatility classes. He stands quietly for the vet and farrier, gets along well in the herd, and is easy to saddle and blanket.
