“Gunners Cut VP” is a 2019 AQHA mare who is truly the whole package! “Aspen” does it all - hunting, packing, reining, cow work, and trail riding! Although she is bred to be a winner in the reining pen, we have done everything with this gritty mare over the years. She has been on 6 day long packing trips in the mountains leading the pack string and has been down several rugged and rough hills in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Aspen rides around quietly bareback in just a halter while still having all the buttons you’d expect from a finished horse. She hauls great and has no problem standing tied to the trailer overnight, stalling at new places, and being hobbled or high-lined. She eats and drinks well on the road and is an easy keeper. Aspen crosses water, downed timber, and bridges with ease. She has been ridden down busy roads with large trucks, through cow pastures, and in crowded warm-up arenas. This is truly the kind of horse who is willing to do it all. She has been a pleasure to have around the barn and we know she will make someone else happy!
