"Leroy" - 8 Year Old Buckskin Tobiano Draft Cross Gelding - 16.1 Hands

Leroy is a gorgeous gelding built like a brick house. Athletic and versatile, he has experience packing game and camps, riding in the mountains, and working on our ranch. A steady and reliable packer, he has been exposed to a wide variety of wildlife, animals, and machinery while remaining calm and dependable in different environments. Leroy loads easily and travels well in a trailer. He is a gentleman to be tacked up and stands quietly for the farrier. He shows great promise in the arena and would make an excellent English prospect with a beautiful collection, an impressive stride, and elegant movement. Under saddle, he is best suited to an intermediate to advanced rider who can provide clear, confident guidance, as he is sensitive and alert. Leroy's purchase comes with a free day of riding with us and instruction for Leroy. Leroy can be difficult to catch in a pasture, but he's easy to catch in a medium- to large-sized pen. We have done a ton of desensitization work with him, and he has a good one-rein stop installed. When he gets nervous, putting him in a one-rein stop de-escalates him and keeps him from acting silly.
