“Squirt” is a 4 year old grade Percheron X Quarter Horse cross gelding standing roughly 15.2 hands and wearing a size #2 shoe. Squirt has plenty of size, stamina, and bone. He is a fantastic pack horse and will cover all types of terrain with ease. He is gritty and level-headed in the pack string and has packed tons of salt. Squirt has been started on ranch work and has about 30 total rides - some outside and some in the arena. He has gathered cattle and spent the summer in the San Juan Mountains, and came off of the Red Rock Canyons of Utah where he spent the winter. He can get nervous and tight under saddle, so we are offering him as a nice pack horse, or a project to continue his riding training. He has not bucked, but does get scared. Squirt is a nice looking gelding who loads in the trailer and stands quietly for the farrier. Although he is still green, he has lots of potential and is very useful in a pack string!
